Ingredients - 4 pears, peeled, halved and cored
- 3/4 cup 100% apple juice
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground mace
Instructions - Preheat oven to 350.
- Arrange pears in a large baking dish. Mix remaining ingredients in a bowl and pour over pears.
- Cover and bake for 30 minutes or until tender, periodically basting while cooking.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool.
- Serve with a dollop of light whipped cream if desired.
